Of random thoughts and Genting

June 25, 2009 3 comments

Realise I don’t have new updates on my nails lately?

If getting my nails done makes me happy, am I to allow others to strip me of my happiness? If getting my nails done is a waste of money, then wouldn’t this logic apply to gamers too, just because gaming makes them happy? I have no fucking idea why I’m judged just because I like having a manicure done. Why judge me? Why not others? Just because I’m paying for the service so I deserve the negative remarks? Why am I not privileged to do things that make me happy?

I ought to slap myself for ranting here about that person. And I feel more awful for having to prove to that person I can do without manicure even though I don’t feel the need to at all.

Is this any different from how I was once banned from clubbing?

how i'm feeling

This is tiring.

Heeeehuuuuu heeeeehuuuu. Be silent, be still.

BAaaaaaaah! Next.

What’s up with everyone going Genting? Haha. Kerrie just got back, Richard too. And then Kaixin is going on this weekend. And the best thing is I’m going next Monday!

Kinda looking forward to it. Just wanna get out of town. It’s crazy to stay home for a bit longer. Should have met up with Weiliang just now before he leaves for a dance competition in Prague. *bangs head*

But another thing to look forward to is tomorrow night. Weihan has been asking me to Phuture EVERY week without fail. And I turn him down EVERY week without fail LOL. The one and only time I didn’t turn him down will be tomorrow. Yea! Be glad that I didn’t, Weihan! Haha now he calls me Miss Big Shot!

Anyway, I’m catching Transformers with BH and my sister (and her friend, I think) this Sunday. My sister bought the tickets like 2 weeks back from the RC. Yah. Residents Corner that RC. Fwahahaha because she went to sign up for a MAHJONG COMPETITION!!! WAHAHAHA LMAO!

Machiam HK movie lor. Mahjong competition wor. And she’s the youngest participant.

So she happened to see the RC selling tickets to Transformers at only $4.50 each! Bloody hell! I would have extra moolah for a really huge popcorn combo! LOL. I’m getting excited. Woohoo! I’m even more excited about her mahjong competition! Wahahaha! So fast wanna join the senior citizens liao. My mum not even gonna admit she’s old yet lor!

Hope she wins. Win a new mahjong set I also don’t mind. Haha. Best is win cash prizes. =)

It’s 3.45pm and I’m gonna cook lunch now. Feeling really 宅 laaaaaaaah…

June 22, 2009 Leave a comment

The girls and I met up to celebrate Zoe’s belated at Shokudo, Raffles City.

A pity Evelyn couldn’t make it. Cos we had so much fun messing around with the neoprint machine. I know, so old school right?

Lol.

The old, older and oldest young, younger and youngest.

5 over 6 strength

Van’s

Kerrie’s

Kerlyn’s

Mine & Zoe’s

Zoe and I both loveeeeeee mushrooms!! This one plate cost $8.80++! Bloody ex.

I’m so gonna cook this tonight!

Wahahahaha! Neoprints!

Still waiting for Kerrie to send me the scanned copies. Girl ah, faster leh! Haha.

After dinner, Zoe left first with V and the 4 of us continued camwhoring outside.

I look like obasan! OMG.

Going market anyone?

There were a lot of failed shots because our hair kept covering our faces due to the strong wind.

Kerrie left after a bit and it was Van, me and Kerlyn. We grabbed a drink and chit chat sing song til 10 before heading back home.

Zoe girl, hope you like the presents! Happy belated again! =)

Casper and his new friends

June 22, 2009 Leave a comment

Yesterday, we brought Casper to meet 2 new friends, Milo and Gougou.

Gosh. These 2 were so cute!

Introducing Milo and Gougou.

When I reached, these 2 kids came out the door to welcome me. I was rather intimidated at first thinking that Gougou would be fierce. But end up she was really friendly and shy.

And she was so shy when Casper wanted to go near her that she hid in the room. Milo, on the other hand, wasn’t shy at all. In fact, he was being protective over Gougou that he almost wanted to attack Casper.

But it was sweet watching how Milo and Gougou were so close to each other.

The pretty Gougou.

I was rather attached to her. I realised I’ve been around too many male dogs for a lot and having a quieter milder female dog was actually quite nice. :)

By the way, ever seen a JRT who is the size of a pig?

This is Milo, the ultra heavy and fat JRT.

He weighs like 10 kg.

When Milo and Gougou go for a walk, people will actually ask, “How come your dog so fat?” And the reply would be, “Dog? No, this is a pig!”

LOL.

Casper trying to escape when Gougou comes near. Oh well. I can only say Casper was trying to act strong in front of other dogs.

After that we brought Casper to meet Lollipop.

They had so much fun chasing each other around.

Them with us having dinner. Lollipop on the left, Casper on the right.

There was this annoying little girl who couldn’t stop messing with them. Even when we told her to stop or we would get angry, she didn’t get the hint. She just continued pushing the chair and squeezing Casper and patting Lollipop and making a lot of noise and asking lots of repeated questions like, “Will he bite?”

It got to a point we couldn’t take it and told her “Yes they will bite when you make too much noise!” but she still didn’t get our hint. -_-

“I want to sleep but the girl girl very noisy leh” :(

The little girl in the background. The two furkids obviously were angsty and disturbed.

Finally the girl walked off and these 2 boys had some peace.

They slept all the way till dinner ended.

Awww…

Random photos of Casper.

Trying out new hairstyles for him.

Style #1 Neat and suave look

Style #2 Out of bed look

Style #3 Punk dog look (Link broken, getting it fixed REALLY soon!)

Style #4 Dutch lady look

“Want some milk and bread?”

Playing around. Putting him in my drawer.

Act emo.

So cute.

With his toy bone. Notice how he grabs his toy with his paws.

Once a week, he looks like a Chihuahua instead of a maltese. =D

Kukup and our non-stop eating

June 17, 2009 3 comments

If anyone of you have been to Kukup, you’d probably know there’s absolutely nothing to do there except to eat.

The amount of food gorged down my throat was scary yet satisfying. All food expenses were included in our tour package. The weight put on was definitely worth it considering the experience gained.

For less than $80 per pax and a 2-hour coach ride from Singapore, you get to experience living on a kelong, simple life, unlimited seafood, sleeping with strangers and witnessing and causing sea pollution.

I’ve seen so much during this trip. The good and the bad. Shall start off with the good first.

A 80 bucks experience

Who loves freebies?

Find yourself guilty for being unable to resist freebies? Then visit Fr3b.com now!

I can’t wait to share this happiness with you guys! I got this awesome website from Alex L. At first I was rather apprehensive about this website that claims free samples will be sent to your address. I signed up nonetheless.

And I’m on my way to sampling a few products that are way too out of my budget in the market!

Imagine paying 79 bucks for a bottle of skin care and to realise it’s not suitable for your skin at all. A lot of you must have had such experiences. Sucks right?

Simply pay for the postage. That’s it. And postage is only what? Less than 2 bucks! $1.60 to be exact.

Woohoo!

I love love love samples. I have lots of samples from magazines and mailers etc. Fr3b.com is definitely the cheaper alternative. Don’t have to buy magazines just for the samples. At least that’s what my mum does. -_-

So go sign up at Fr3b.com now and get those free samples!

3D-dicted

June 15, 2009 Leave a comment

Quite some time ago, I watched Monsters vs Aliens 3D.

I was so hyped about watching it in 3D. The last movie I watched in 3D was some HK horror film, The Park, 10 years ago and the 3D effects were horrible. They made us put on and remove the glasses every few minutes throughout the movie.

Nice glasses and obviously more wearable than those days.

No wonder there were non stop flashes in the theatre before the movie started.

My favourite character, Bob. He’s so awfully cute!

The show was funny mostly because of Bob.

And I watched Night at the Museum 2.

It was omg funny! Super entertaining. Love those bobbing Einstein heads. And Owen Wilson. And the monkeys.

And there was X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

I thought it was ok. Nothing to brag about except Hugh Jackman’s body.

And Gambit.

So cute.

Upcoming movies!!

Already bought tickets on the 28th!! OMG. So gan chiong! LOL!

Definitely gonna watch the next two in 3D!

All about the furkids

June 12, 2009 6 comments

As the title mentions, this post is all about the puppies. Casper has a new friend, Lollipop, who happens to be a mini maltese as well. In fact, is Joyce’s new furkid.

When BH told me Joyce just got a new puppy, I was pretty excited. Because that means Casper will have a new friend. But I knew that Casper was under-exposed to other dogs and would usually freak out.

I was right.

Casper was smart. He was a strategic player. He watched and observed Lollipop. And he found a way to hide from him.

Haha. And so, Lollipop got tired of chasing Casper around he started wandering on his own around the house.

To all dog owners out there. Never leave your dogs wandering around the house unattended, especially when they are still young. You never know what will happen.

After that first meeting, Casper kinda got used to Lollipop. He not only got used to him, he even fought back when Lollipop tried to chase and bite him. Casper bit him back and that resulted in Lollipop crying for his mummy. Awww so cute. But no worries. No animals were harmed in the process. =) So from then on, Casper wasn’t that timid anymore.

Because Casper somehow ‘earned’ his respect from the younger kid, everyone turned their attention to him. Here’s him playing fetch. What shocked me was that he actually went under the bed to fetch. He was usually afraid of the darkness under beds.

It was so cute watching him fetch. I was grinning from ear to ear seeing him crawl under the bed to fetch the toy. =)

On the other hand, Lollipop was really jealous with all the attention that was on Casper. He tried to divert our attention back to him.

By doing cutesy stuff.

Awwww… Isn’t that attention-seeking cute?

Fresh look

Decided a new template. I got bored looking at my face on the banner. Haha. I figured it would be more comfortable looking at a white background with photos that’s why I sticked to white.

Will be updating in a bit. Casper’s videos are untouched. Still. -_-

Taken for granted

June 3, 2009 Leave a comment

Was just fiddling around with my school’s website when I stumbled across an email saying this.

I am writing in line with advice from the Department of Human Services to let you know that an RMIT student in the School of Business TAFE has been confirmed as being infected with swine flu. RMIT wishes the student a speedy recovery.

It’s kinda scary knowing that someone that close is infected with the virus. Have no idea who the person is but I still hope this person gets well soon. Because well, results will be out in a few more hours (that’s not really the point. I’m just freaking out here because of the results).

I guess most of us have always been taking our hygiene issues for granted. We have probably never really practised the proper ways of cleaning ourselves especially in public places. Whoever will know what kind of germs are there on the MRT poles, or the escalator handrest, or simply the pair of chopsticks that you use at the kopitiam?

Even at times like this (H5N1, H1N1, SARS etc), we don’t really think it’s that important cos we all think we wouldn’t be that suay to kena this virus.

That’s the problem with humans. We never realise the seriousness of anything until we ourselves experience it.

It’s even more scary if you’re infected and not aware of it and have already gone round spreading the virus to your loved ones.

Anyone know if dogs will get infected? Just need to make sure especially when Casper’s immune system is really weak now. Being vomitting quite a bit lately even while on medication. Poor boy. Recently I’ve been so busy doing stuff that aren’t productive at all that I think I’ve somehow neglected him. But I still play with him everyday and let him exercise.

I am busy with editing his photos with Lollipop (his new friend, also a mini maltese) and videos before I blog about them. It’s funny seeing how they progress in their friendship. First meet up was a trauma for Casper when he first saw Lollipop. Haha. And then you see a change from the second meet up onwards.

I can’t wait to post them up! Shall edit them soon. =)

Meanwhile, let’s pray hard (again!) for our results tomorrow.

Oh by the way, did I mention that timetable for the next semester is out? The timings are effing screwed up. 3.30pm start class 6.30pm end class. KAO! TAMADE! Who the hell plans such timetables??? HOW TO DO PROJECTS???

Sims 3

June 3, 2009 1 comment

Been hooked onto Sims 3. OMG it is so much fun. I remembered the times I played the previous edition and found myself addicted.

This time, it was no difference. Creating the Sim took me an hour or so and decorating my house took like forever. =D

Feel so ‘zai’ now. Brrrr…

Exams results will be released on Thur. I am praying for the best. *fingers crossed*

Then will be meeting the girls to celebrate Zoe’s birthday right after.

Friday will be packing for weekend trip to Kukup.

Saturday, Sunday will be at Kukup. Not sure what to expect. Family bonding time. And expecting lots of mahjong because everyone said that there’s absolutely nothing to do there.
