Tomorrow, I’ll be visiting my cousin Aasta. Unfortunately, we had to bring forward the date of visit cos Sep 2nd falls on a weekday. It’s once again the time of the year. To laugh or cry is not up to us to decide anymore.

Was rather emo today due to this. And business finance isn’t helping at all. Been trying to finish up Topic 2 today. Test on Tuesday. No motivation at all. Damn. Topic 2 is like… What the hell is this?? Annuity and Amortised loans? Like… WHAT??

FML.

It’s a 1 for 1 affair

August 24, 2009 2 comments

Thanks to Zoe, I had my virgin brazilian waxing done at a discount. A generous 1 for 1 discount. I called up Kaixin and asked her if she wanted to go with me.

Next thing you know, we started planning for that very Friday.

She had already done it before elsewhere though so it’s actually quite exciting for me. Didn’t know what to expect. I asked  lot of girls who have done it before and while most of them said it’s painful, I hoped very strongly it wouldn’t hurt as much as what they said.

Haha. Self delusion? Maybe.

But anyway, the outlet I went to was really small. The girl led me to the bathroom to bathe myself. I was out in no time. Somehow I knew another customer was waiting outside the bathroom, and boy was I right.

The girl who did the waxing for me didn’t do much to relax me. I was relaxing myself. Before I knew it, she was doing her thing.

*Ziap*

Without any warning at all.

Damn.

But it wasn’t that painful. Tolerable would be how I described it. Definitely better than injection and whatsnot. Pull out better than poke in right?

I was done in just 10 minutes. That was it. And I was outside waiting for Kaixin.

Aftermath. I felt no difference after it was done. Only not used to the clarity everytime I go to the bathroom. LOL.

Then after the waxing, we went for Swensen’s 1 for 1 lunch. Shiokness can? Total bill only 20 bucks.

Kaixin’s Aglio Olio. Tasted quite nice. But I still preferred Delifrance.

My Sambal Grill Fish. I have no freaking idea how many times I’ve eaten this.

And it still tasted good.

We went shopping around for her dress to wear on her sister’s wedding after lunch. But the thing about girls, we shop with no motive at all. Even when we do, we end up buying things we didn’t intend to get in the first place.

-_- What to do?

I ended up buying this pair of heels from Mphosis because they were on sale!

Super looking forward to wearing it! But when? I don’t even go out that much. Haiz. Since when have my girls seen me in heels in school? Maybe to clubbing? *huge grin*

Kaixin wanted it too. But there wasn’t her size. She managed to find it at another outlet and she bought it too! OMG so excited!

And I bought another bag too. It’s my erm… fourth bag in a month’s period. Die. So dead. If BH knew, he would have raised me from the dead and kill me again.

I get really sensitive with the word SALE. It’s hard not to splurge cos you can save so much! Especially if it’s Mphosis! The process of shopping is pure shiokness. But the aftermath is not. Let’s wait for my credit card bills.

Time to crack open my piggy bank for extra cash. LOL.

Oh ya, and not forgetting, Kaixin still didn’t buy her dress after trying on so many kinds. Why can’t we find something when we need it?!

Tsk tsk. Must reflect.

An abrupt end to this post. I love this song!

Is it me or is everyone paranoid?

Went to school quite reluctantly for a project meeting. Bought a new mouse from Popular that wouldn’t plug and play when it’s supposed to just plug and play. I figured it was my laptop’s issue since it immediately played once plugged into Kerlyn’s and Vanessa’s laptops. -_-

I googled and did whatever I could. Enabled and reinstalled the driver that didn’t exist. -__- Nothing worked. Fiddled with it for almost 1.5 hours before finally settling it. Whoever knew that the driver was IN the laptop itself and not online? -___-

I thought my new smashing orange mouse would be wasted. But now it’s working. Woohoo!

Photo added just to ’spice’ up this post.

So we managed to discuss a bit and split the parts. Till now I still haven’t started a single thing. Lazy. Gosh. And I’ve got a date with Kaixin tomorrow so I’m left with almost no time to get my part done before the next meeting on Monday. Sunday will be my God sister’s 8th birthday. She lives in the east and I’m still wondering if I should go. *headache*

加油吧!美女们!Let’s all work hard for this project.

And then it was home sweet home after a slightly productive day.

Got home, found out my sister bought a new phone, Nokia E71. Damn. I want a new phone too. Just so happened that my phone is getting cranky nowadays. Lol. I merely asked my sister to pass me her old phone if she isn’t using it. Then my kpo Mummy chap-ed in and said, “Just nice got reason to change phone hor? You can take my old phone ma.” -_-

Something tells me I wouldn’t be getting a new phone so soon.

Talking about that, BH’s phone is really cranky. On a rather abrupt note, he just told me to remove Casper’s bell. I asked him why and he explained over the phone which kinda sent some shivers down my spine for a bit.

I was never so paranoid about the seventh month until last year when I got Casper and he was at home during that period. That was also the same time he started barking. Til now, he still barks. But usually his barks are asking for attention. Other times, I catch him barking at nothing at all. Kinda freak me out every now and then.

Then I asked Nana jie what should I take note of during this period and she told me a few stuff like go home earlier (which I’m hoping to achieve. I even told the girls I don’t wanna stay back in school till late for project.), not dry clothes at night and wear black. I wore black today (damn!) and I’m gonna start wearing yellow and orange from tomorrow onwards. Lol.

About the bell issue, I’ve removed it already. Even told my mum about it and she asked, “You believe meh?” Haha I don’t really care but I wouldn’t want to regret after something has happened. So better be safe than sorry. Casper will be bell-less for one month. It’s gonna be hard to track him at home now that he’s bell-less.

And then BH laughed over the phone when I told him he freaked me out, saying there’s nothing to be afraid of.

There isn’t, definitely. Just hope that Casper doesn’t start barking in the middle of the night. If he does, then hope that I’m fast asleep and don’t hear him.

Soon-to-be foodlog

Alex commented that my blog has turned into a foodlog. Lol. That’s cos I have almost nothing else to blog about. It’s all about food, Casper and nothing else.

Oh wait. Maybe I can blog about Vanessa’s birthday but anyway photos are up in Facebook. Or I can blog about my virgin brazilian waxing experience which I’ll be doing on Friday with Kaixin. Doubt there will be any photos of the process. Lol.

Shall see.

Alright. Food pics.

From Kaari family @ Lot One.

Not so bad considering it’s only $4.90 for student. Comes with free drink. You get to choose from 3 types of curry. I just didn’t like the Japanese curry. Tasted way too different from the one I cooked.

Sides. Cheese chicken wings and fries. Nothing fantastic.

Next up, teochew porridge. Damn it. I’m having craving again!

Can you believe all these plus 2 porridge cost only slightly over 5 bucks? 2 meat, 1 fish, 1 veggie.

And it’s so good I almost wanted more servings. This is from Beauty World Plaza.

Daily dosage. Shiokness.

Open happiness =)

Oh ya. The seventh month starts today. I shall stay away from horror films for the time being. I just get more paranoid during this period. And yes, don’t stay out late or go back late. Don’t turn your head when you hear someone calling you from behind.

Wahahaha damn it. The girls and I were just talking about some ghost encounters and stories on Van’s birthday. We were all freaking each other out. The topic came up when we were discussing about Where Got Ghosts the movie. It was funny like hell. The mother from Money No Enough 2 super adorable.

Nothing else to say. Good night.

Super cute can die!

Cuteness overload!

Awwwwww…

Late night suppers

August 13, 2009 4 comments

It’s no wonder I feel bloated these days.

Recently, I’ve been having supper almost everyday. I’m kinda glad that BH has resumed school thus no more lesser suppers.

Apart from that, each time we’re out, we tend to try new stuff.

Fish Steamboat from Kim San Leng.

Signature fried tofu. Definitely must eat it with mayonnaise.

Fried chicken wings

Black pepper ribs.

Hotplate tofu

Sambal kang kong. The only veggie that has no nutrition at all but I love it!

All the above are from Kim San Leng. BH would cycle (with me at the back) from my place out to meet Lai Wang for supper.

Then sometimes we would eat from the coffeeshop just opposite my place.

Mango chicken. Chicken deep fried with mango sauce and slices.

Black pepper ribs again. From a different place though.

Sambal kang kong again.

Next, we tried Ben Ten at Iluma opposite Bugis Junction.

Salmon baked rice. Yummy. Look at the cheeeeeeseeeee!

The crazily HUGE pizza that BH savoured all by himself.

杨枝干露 at Ah Chew’s. Finally tried it. But was a lil disappointing. I’ve tried better ones. Probably should have eaten other stuff.

I had craving for Aglio Olio again. Had to settle it before I threw a fit. Of all places, I chose Pastamania. Sucked so bad.

Turkey bacon aglio olio. Seriously. Sucked. Looked like Bak Kwa noodles. Tasted like Bak Kwa noodles. -_-

Creamy chicken pasta. Was once my favourite of Pastamania’s. Keyword. Was.

I don’t understand why I’m having cravings so much. It’s annoying!

Next craving. Rosti. Could have easily cooked it at home.

Pork knuckles. BH said it tasted best with mint sauce.

Eeek.

There’s nothing better than a home cooked meal. It’s even better if I didn’t have to clear up the kitchen after eating.

Fried rice. Little rice and lots of ingredients. My style. Here I have hot dog, bak kwa, mushrooms and eggs.

Super yummy!

And last but not least, dessert.

Walnut cheesecake. Damn it. It’s DAMN nice! From Beauty world.

Damn. Now I’m craving for Shepherd’s pie.

Singapore is 44!

August 5, 2009 3 comments

That’s twice my age. The last time I was present as audience was exactly 11 years ago when Singapore was 33. That time was for all primary 5 students to watch the preview. It takes 11 years to be back again as an audience.

Well, better than never right?

Other than that, I was involved in the choir performance along with my fellow choir mates back back in secondary school. Now that it’s no longer held at the Padang or the National Stadium, I was really looking forward to celebrating Singapore’s birthday at Marina Bay.

I was just fretting over not being able to watch the NDP this year cos I didn’t go get the tickets. And then, Charles gave us free tickets to the preview. Woohoo! Shiokness!

It got me excited for 2 whole weeks before the preview.

Happy birthday, Singapore! You’re old!

Time to reschedule my life

August 4, 2009 1 comment

Recently, I’ve been through lots of life-changing events.

1. School has resumed once again, since 4 weeks ago to be exact. That’s pretty life-changing for me considering that I’m seriously enjoying the holidays.

2. The timetable this semester SUCK! Classes start at 3.30pm and end at 6.30pm. -_-

3. Projects are starting to pile up even at start of week 2. And best of it, I haven’t done a single thing yet.

4. BH’s school starts 1 month and a week later than mine. How cool is that? And he has his holidays about the same time as me. -_-

5. My Toshiba laptop from poly days finally finally shown signs of aging. I can no longer go online with it anymore. Seems like the wireless card is faulty. And worst part of all, I’ve been living with no music because the Dell I’m using now has damn sucky speakers. DAMN sucky. So sucky that plugging to an external speaker wouldn’t help. FML.

6. And these 2 weeks while my sister’s away in freakingexpensive UK, I’m using her spanking new desktop with a hugeass monitor. Sad to say, there are no songs inside and I didn’t want to transfer my songs to her desktop. She wouldn’t get my genre of music. So again, no music.

7. BH and our friends were playing mahjong. Just so happened, one of our friends was suspected to be a H1N1 potential and he just recovered from a high fever. But he was still sneezing and coughing and all. I got so paranoid that I monitored myself for 2 days. Luckily, no symptoms. *Phew*

8. Thanks to Vanessa and Charles, BH and I got free tickets to the NDP Preview last Saturday! I started to love Singapore and its history once again. Not to mention, the days back in secondary school when my choir was involved in the NDP was purely nostalgic. Vanessa got a fright when I started singing along with this malay song.

So yea, that’s basically some life-changing events that happened. Haha. I’m rushing to school for now. Photos up later.
