Had some time so I’m here to share the photos from Malacca.
5 cars, 13 people, 2 days, 1 night, 24 cans of beer and tons of food!

Spot me! Haha!
It took us twice the time to get there.

These two girls are the craziest! Haha. Second trip with them and we’re planning for more.
We checked in. Finally.
Took 2 units to split the 13 of us into 6 and 7 people each. Our house got 7 of us. Amanda, Sim Chuan, Lydia, Yueming, Sheng Chao, Leland and I.

When Chao said the porch is big enough to park 3 cars, we thought it was impossible. But ladies and gentlemen…

We did it! Lol. Still got lots of space in fact.
Short tour around the house.

Living room with tiny television.

Dining room with a kitchen that has no cooking facilities.

Clean and nice bedrooms! 4 of them. And 1 of them is gigantic! Like can squeeze 7 of us in it and still roll around.
We were starving. Had to go get lunch. The others suggested Jonker Street.

It’s like if you haven’t been to Jonker Street, you haven’t been to Malacca.
The weather was goddamnit HOT! Like probably worse than Singapore.
And we settled lunch here.

Free advertisement for them.
See long queue already I know they famous.
Long queue under hot sun means damn famous.

Antiques!
We had such a hard time getting a table. And we had to queue up for awhile. Under the hot sun! But all worth it. Cos their food really sedap!

Laksa with coconut milk. Taste way better than SG’s.

I was in love with their assam laksa! LIKE DAMN SHIOK LAH! Sour and spicy! Wah seh. I would totally go back for more the next time I’m in Malacca.

Amanda and SC ordered rice. Can’t really remember what kind though.

And we tried the Chendol. Cos everyone said must try.
But I personally didn’t like Chendol. Good that it’s ice though cos the weather was damn hot!
Then we did what tourists did.
Shop.

Very pretty beverages bottle. Love the colours.

Hokkien Huay Kuan which we also have in SG.

This restaurant seems pretty popular cos I heard from someone mentioning the name “San Shu Gong”.
But behold.
Opposite is the real popular, must-try, hot also must queue up, Chicken Rice Balls.

Here. You see people queuing up with umbrellas cos the sun was damn strong.
Many friends told me the Chicken Rice Balls in Melaka are overrated. I haven’t tried. So probably you have to try for yourself to know if it’s really good.
There are, in case you say I cheat you, many imitations and I don’t know which are the genuine ones. But follow the crowd, and you might not be wrong.

Thanks, you guys, for making this trip such a fun one!

We drove til Mahkota Parade for some indoor shopping. We needed aircon badly!
Something about Melaka I disliked was the traffic.
So many cars and yet traffic lights took forever. Like 90 seconds kinda long. And only 45 seconds for you to drive.
Nothing much to shop but everything was cheaper. Pretty much like a neighbourhood shopping centre.
We did spend a long time in the supermarket though. To prepare for after-dinner plans.
After Mahkota Parade, we drove to somewhere for dinner.

Bak Ku Teh that tasted pretty blend. But when there’s soup, I always finish up everything.
Since there were 13 of us, it was hard to sit together and get every shot of every dishes we ordered. But here are some of them anyway.

Seriously awesome fried egg!

Some claypot chicken.
And that concluded our dinner. Of course there were other dishes like veggie, more meat and veggie.
Some of us wanted to go back to Jonker Walk for more night shopping considering they close the entire road for stalls to be placed out for tourists to shop.
But the fact that we walked the whole day, we were pretty darn tired already.
So only a few went ahead while the rest of us headed back to shower and sit in the living room for TV.

These were our supper. Damn shiok. A bowl of instant noodles and a can or two of beer.
We couldn’t stay up too late cos everyone damn tired already. Especially the drivers. I guess by 2am everyone concussed.
We woke around 9ish in the morning. LA and I were awoken by laughters and screamings from the next room.
Guess who? Lol.
Check out was at 12pm so we just took our time to pack up and slacked for a bit.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is where we, 13 of us, stayed at. One Residence Stay.
Here’s just the reception though. The houses are a mere 1 minute drive in.

Our goodbyes.
Hope to be back soon.
We went for lunch.

Don’t be fooled by the exterior. The food here DAMN GOOD!
Like everyday eat also won’t sian. Super awesome!

And totally not expensive at all! Hahaha.

Sambal sotong.

Chincalok egg.

Otak otak.

Ayam Pong Teh.

Sambal kang kong.

Beef goreng.
There wasn’t a single dish I disliked. I super like ALL of them!

We finished everything! Hahaha.

Don’t say don’t have. Here are the details.

RM147.20 for 7 of us. That’s less than SGD10 each.
The other 6 sat at another table and ordered their own dishes.
After lunch, we went to the beach.

This is Mahkota hotel or something. Haunted. Period.
Took a few shots there before proceeding to KTV. KTV bloody cheap! Lol. 3 hours of karaoke at a VVIP room only RM25. Just order drinks. Total each person less than SGD6.
Siao bo!
After KTV, we drove backwards, towards Singapore.
Midway, we went to Kulai for dinner. The guys have been there before and recommended the food at Kulai. They have drove up to Kulai from SG just for supper. Damn on.

Here.
For super cheap and delicious food.

Fried mee tai mak.

Fried bee hoon.

Fried lotus root with macadamia nuts. YUMS!

Double-flavour prawns. Shiok!

Fried tofu in the background.

Fried hokkien mee.
And a lot more but no photos cos no time to take photos. Everyone dug in when the food came. Haha.
After dinner we carried on with dim sum. These people really can eat. Crazy lot. Some even da-bao-ed dim sum back to SG.
Then it was home sweet home.
A finale photo from the trip.
